Ariella is an independent stylist with a love of vintage, and an obsessive appreciation for the beauty and significance of high fashion. She is a fan of flea markets, modern and outsider art, rock shows, vintage everything, traveling, trend theory and analysis, culture, good food, beards, theme parties, biking, and music so good it makes you want to dance, fall in love, change the world, or thrash.

Ari was raised in Fort Worth, TX, by stylish and hardworking immigrants, and her older sisters no/new wave record collection. She grew up shopping at thrift stores and Neiman Marcus, respectively. She attended many a coffee house, house party, and rock show during her rebellious years in Catholic School. At the University of North Texas, she studied Photography, Design, and ultimately Fashion Merchandising, and has traveled Europe and Latin America extensively.

Since 2002, Ariella has developed the Villa de los Muertos brand of resurrected, reincarnated, and original garments. Right now she is working small, but thinking big. She is currently scouring the thrift stores and sewing the seeds of love in her Dallas studio. For Fall '09, she is working on one of a kind, reconstructed 80's party dresses, and a collection of original, italo disqo inspired, shiny stretch knits for your freewheeling days and debaucherous late nights.

Her brilliant friends at BigDigi.net are working with her on the new and improved VDLM.com. In the meantime, you can find her pieces on Etsy.com and the dreamy Brooklyn based vintage marketplace, MarketPublique.com.
